Marie-Anne Poeth Slagter

Introduction

I studied English at the University of Rotterdam. I have taught Dutch, English and citizenship at several schools to various age groups, of different cultures and at various levels. I have also given legal and social counselling to refugees through the Refugee Council (vluchtelingenwerk) to refugees entering the Netherlands. I am married, mother of a teenage daughter and have two dogs and two cats. My passion is to help people move forward and guide them on their way. This I do with lots of fun and energy.

My talent is helping persons, who are considered “problem cases” by their parents, teachers etcetera, to find the right path.

Guiding people with difficulties in practice

I have learned that my talent lies in helping people, who are considered by those in their environment as problem cases, find the right path. This has led to my becoming specialised in supporting people who are confronted with "barriers", such as reaching out to people and providing further help and guidance:

  • Lack of motivation at school
  • Uncertainty or anxiety before an examination
  • Dyslexia
  • Language barriers

My passion goes out to helping people and furthering them in their career. I do this with lots of fun and energy.

Madis Kralingen

In 2012, I launched Madis Kralingen. With Madis Kralingen, working as a freelancer, I help secondary school students, immigrants and foreign workers further in life. I live and teach in Kralingen, Rotterdam and can be reached easily by public transport. I can also teach on location if wished.
